Cameo love

Something victorian, with some little touch of greco-roman, an illustrated cameo that represents a feminine figure. This kind of jewels have been always in my life, my mother used to have a lot of kind of cameos, jewels that I used to see and they seemed to be a dream, with women with floating dresses in very romantic scenes. I wanted to do something similar, but illustrated, like my last post, I made it with the same colours and a very romantic touch, trying to remind that atmosphere of the italian cities I visited. Is my own interpretion and is my perception of romanticism, I just express  what I like most...

Come into my sight...

"Take a picture with your eyes and keep it in your memories".

His eyes were honey-coloured with some green stains and what I most remember was how two "black spots" in the eyes made his look unique and impossible to get out of it. In love of my memories, I couldn't leave this illustration. When I was watching the sunset fell on Rome, a sentence in english with an italian accent came out from his lips... "Take a picture with your eyes and keep it in your memories". The words that were heard in the "Giardino degli Aranci" echoed in my head until now. They could not have any special intention, just something that just said, however it meant so much for me that is the SLOGAN of my blog. This illustration was made with memories, and more with the colour of that wonderful city. At beginning it was thought to be part of my personal portfolio, but at the end I gave it a bigger meaning. I wish I could have another story like this and I hope that his eyes could not be part only of my memory, but something that I could see forever...

Neo-chic

Just like I told you many times, each illustration  has a story to tell, some of them very sentimental and others full of moments with some meaning. This illustration was made in the summer that I passed in my beloved Montreal (The city that I loved entirely). When I went out all days, it was inevitable to see the people, some of them less interested about their appearance, but some others more sophisticated and aware about them. When I finished my classes I did the same and I could see all of this in Montreal´s downtown when I walked around of St. Catherine street, entering store to store to detour to take the metro at Place-Des-Arts station. I arrived home and I began to draw all the things that I used to see in my daily life and I realized about my style and what fascinated me. I spent much time with this illustration unpainted until today, the day I wanted to show you part of my initial work. Hope you like it...

Like a prayer...

It´s funny, I draw this when I was in Montreal. Actually I was very bored in my class so I just began to draw the first thing that appear in my mind. This sketch means a lot to me and is how I started to explore this world more and more. I called it "Like a prayer" just because it looks like a girl who is asking for something to the heaven. Of course is on everybody to give it the meaning they want...

Pokerface...

¿Pokerface?

Pokerface? how is that? is curious, but this illustrations I decided to leave them blind, mute and deaft, or at least is what it seems. "Pokerface" is how I like to call them, I made them two years ago when I was working and they were made with my first artwork in this blog. They remind me about a very romantic world, with watercolor marks that paint their dresses and fade with the space...
