Decades...

Decades, there is always a special time that makes us dream, it can be anything and for me means fashion! when you see pictures, paints, movies and when you read a book related to a decade you are always teleported to a moment that is always full of magic, full of thoughts and of course, full of history. What it means to get dress like they used to? I remember a class in fashion media that the teacher talked about the importance of the garment. The incredible process that it used to take to create all of this beautiful outfits, specially when they were created only to be worn for a paint or for a moment. When I was in London in 2013 I was in the V&A museum and I remember a paint in which it said that the outfit the woman wear had cost more than the house they used to live. Fashion has been a matter of politic, religion and economy and there are a lot of decades that converted this in art. Fashion is not about now, it is something that has lasted almost forever.

Épocas, siempre existe un momento que nos ha fascinado a todos, algunos se sienten atraídos por los 60s, otros por épocas mucho mas antiguas, pero lo importante es que la mayoría de personas siempre nos hemos visto influenciados por varias momentos de la historia, ya sea por los casos de política, o por religión, en mi caso me he visto fascinado por la moda. Desde pequeño he sentido esa afinidad por el vestuario y por las épocas y siempre me he preguntado acerca de la importancia que debió haber tenido este tema durante algún tiempo de la historia, y es que la moda no es algo tan superficial ni vacío como mucha gente lo ha hecho sentir actualmente, con pensamientos un tanto confusos y sin argumentos válidos para expresarse. La moda siempre ha sido cuestión de política, religión, poder y economía sin embargo ha llegado a ser visto inclusive como ARTE. Tiempos en los que las leyes suntuarias prohibían a los plebeyos vestirse como la monarquía, tiempos en el que usar ciertos colores eran castigados por ley demuestran el dominio de entes totalmente distintos al vacío que hablan muchas personas en la actualidad. Sin embargo no ha sido esto lo que me ha motivado a hacer esta ilustración, ha sido la idea de elaborar un dibujo donde el vestuario se vea minuciosamente elaborado que lo considero como muchos lo hacen con otras modalidades, lo considero ARTE.
