Limerencia musical...

Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Prokofiev... ¿quién mas? hay tantos compositores que me vuelven loco. Me considero melómano a morir, amo la música clásica, para mi es la manera de comunicarse con nuestra alma y corazón. En agosto del 2013 me dí un regalo durante mi viaje en Inglaterra. En la época de mi cumpleaños, se presentó el Ballet El Bolshoi en la Casa Real de la Opera en Londres y como obra presentó "El Lago de los Cisnes". No ocultaré la fascinación que me generaron las bailarinas, el vestuario, la coreografía y la interpretación de la obra en general. Tal fué mi emoción que inmediatamente al llegar de nuevo a mi habitación en Birmingham comencé a realizar una ilustración que me permitía mostrar el sentimiento generado.

Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Prokofiev... Who's missing? there are a lot of composers that drives me crazy. I considered myself as a music-lover, I do really love music, for me it's the way how we communicate with our soul and heart. In august 2013 I gave myself a gift when I was in England. In the time of my birthday, Ballet Bolshoi staged  "The Swan Lake" in the Royal Opera House in London.  I will not hide my fascination that led me the ballerinas, the costumes, coreography and interpretation. Was such my excitement that I immediately get back to my room in Birmingham and I began to make an illustration that allowed me to show the feeling generated.

Actualmente me encuentro haciendo varias ilustraciones (y espero con ansias montarlas lo mas pronto posible), sin embargo nunca olvido mis inicios. Éstas ilustraciones fueron aquellas con las que empecé a descubrir que era lo que mas me gustaba, como debía hacerlo y que técnicas debía usar. "Kojiki" fue un trabajo que hice en la universidad en el 2010, se basa en la mitología japonesa y el nombre viene de un libro de registros históricos sobre el japón. Éste trabajo me tomó bastante tiempo, no solo fue la ilustración, también fue el uso de la acuarela combinado con el color, al final solo hice algunos retoques y así fue como terminé con este proyecto que, aunque se vea amateur, fue hecho con mucho empeño y ganas...

I 'm currently doing several illustrations (and I want to upload them as soon as possible), however i never forget my beginings. These illustration were those which I started to discovered what I like most, how I should do and what kind of techniques I should use. "Kojiki" was a work I made in the university in 2010, it was based in japanese mythology and it name comes from a book with historical records about Japan. This artwork took me a lot of time and was not only the illustration, it also was the use of watercolors combined with color pencils, I just made a few tweaks and that's how I ended up with this project, even if it looks amateur, it was done with commitment and desire ...

Movimiento romántico...

Amo esta ilustración, su posición y el movimiento del cabello. Como les comenté en uno de mis anteriores entradas, siempre existe una historia detrás de cada ilustración, en este caso, existía una atmósfera de romanticismo con un ligero toque de misterio, reflejado en la anulación de sus ojos sin perder la postura que nos indica que su mirada va hacia nosotros. Ya está entre cada uno de ustedes decidir que realmente está pensando...  

I love this illustration, her position and the movement of her hair. Like I told you in one of my previous posts, there is always a story behind every illustration, in this case, there was an atmosphere of romanticism with a little touch of mistery, reflected in the annulation of her eyes without losing her pose indicating that she is looking at us. Now is on you the decision about what is she really thinking...

Una de mis tantas aficiones...

Muchísimo tiempo atras, una de mis tantas aficiones (ademas de la ilustración y la moda) fue la fotografía, amo hacer puestas en escena y trabajar con el styling, todo lo que tenga que ver con la pre-producción, producción y post produccion fotográfica y muchísimo mas si esta involucra historia... esta sesión fotográfica la hice para un trabajo en la universidad en el 2009, se trata de la vida y los escritos de un reconocido escritor en Medellín - Colombia llamado Gonzalo Arango creador del Nadaismo. Historias como "Una monja revoluciona la Montaña" y "Un girasol para mi muerte" fueron retratadas en este trabajo.

Long long time ago, one of my hobbies (besides of illustration and fashion) was photography, I love to work making styling, everything related to the photograph pre-production, production and post-production and much more if this one involves history... I made this photographic session for an university project in 2009, it's about the life and writing of a well-known writter in Medellin - Colombia called Gonzalo Arango creator of "Nadaism". Stories like "Una monja revoluciona la Montaña" and "Un girasol para mi muerte" were protrayed in this work.
